Thread guides
Gimex manufactures a comprehensive range of ceramic thread guides in a range of different materials. Thread guides are used mainly in the textile industry. Ceramic is applied to prevent the yarn from wearing in the guide. If the fibres become worn they will fluff, causing the quality of the yarn to deteriorate.
Ceramic thread guides are made by applying the injection moulding process in Aluminium Oxide (purities of 92% Al2O3, 96% Al2O3 and also 99.8% Al2O3) but also in Titanium Oxide, especially the electrically conductive type.
Thread guides
One of the most commonly used thread guides is the eyelet, a simple guide for a single yarn. Eyelets are available in many sizes, although they can, of course, be produced to your own design.
